Mini Sharks is the Orange Hunt Swim Team learn to swim program for children, ages 4 to 6.
Mini Sharks must be comfortable in the water and separate easily from their parent/caregiver. Mini Sharks might have a wide range of ability from children who are not yet floating or swimming to children who can swim but do not yet have the endurance or technical skills to swim the length of the pool in freestyle and backstroke.

Permanent Member - $150/swimmer
Associate Member - $170/swimmer
**Due to our contractual agreements with our coaches, we will not be offering registration refunds once our swim season starts. We have an obligation to pay our coaches, even if our season is shortened for any reason.
Mini Shark Practices, Meets and Socials
The goal of Mini Sharks is for children to gain confidence in the water in a safe and fun environment and to develop a love of swimming. Mini Sharks are part of the swim team. They are invited to all social functions, will be in the team picture, and will be celebrated at their Minis End of the Season recognition.
Mini Sharks have their own coaches that will work with them to develop their swimming skills. At our home Monday night swim meets, the Mini Sharks “race” across the shallow end or may use a kick board to span the full length of the pool while they are cheered on by their older teammates.
Mini Sharks practice is scheduled to begin on June 22, 2026 (the first Monday after FCPS school is out). Families can register for time slots on a first come first serve basis on the online registration system. We will have enough coaches per session to break students into smaller practice groups by ability as needed.
Practices will be Monday - Thursday for 4.5weeks (June 22 - July 22).
Mini Sharks are welcome to join the Swim Team picture on Friday, June 26th and stay for pancakes after!
Team, individual, and sibling group photos will be available.
